We are seeking a People and Workplace Director who is excited by this context and opportunity. ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be an outstanding strategic HR leader – with extensive experience of leading an HR or Workplace function within an organisation of comparable size, scale and complexity.
You will need to be able to demonstrate your capability against the following criteria:
Leadership - A visible inspirational leader with a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain a diverse, engaged and high-performing workforce at all levels of an organisation;
Technical - A proven track record of delivering excellent HR, workforce or OD services within an organisation of at least comparable breadth;
Making effective decisions - The ability to use data, evidence and budgets to make informed decisions and influence wider arms-length bodies;
Communicating and influencing - Outstanding interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, able to build credibility quickly with senior internal and external stakeholders and Ministers;
Seeing the Big Picture / Working Together - A systems thinker, with experience of developing and implementing diverse inter-related strategies at an organisational level, and with the ability to identify, build and maintain a network of key stakeholders to support effective delivery;
Changing and Improving - Experience delivering transformational change to the culture, workplace (including involvement in estate transformation programmes) systems and processes, incorporating customer feedback to make changes that benefit the entire workforce.
Desirable skills and experience:
Member or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
