Role: Project Manager - SSM (Strategic Supplier Management)

Salary:     From £39,000pa up to £48,500pa plus bonus % and other benefits

 

The role is accountable for the planning, delivery and stabilisation of projects on the Procurement and Supply Chain transformation roadmap, as allocated by the Programme Manager.  This will require strong stakeholder engagement both within and outside of the Procurement and Supply Chain function.

This role will initially focus on the completion of the rollout of the Strategic Supplier Management process across Procurementtargeted to be finished by the end of February 2021.  This will then need to be handed over to BAU support within the Process, Systems and Insights team.

What you will be doing:

  •  Subsequent to the successful implementation of SSM, delivery of the Procurement and Supply Chain Vision and Strategy through the delivery of key projects and change activities.
  • Apply project management and analytical techniques to ensure the solutions are delivered to cost, time and quality expectations  

  • Confidently work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders of all levels  

  • Take full ownership of projects by building business cases, presenting to stakeholders, designing solutions and implementing sustainable change 

  • Support the project governance structure by providing accurate and timely reporting on the project portfolio 

  • Effectively communicate with, influence and challenge key stakeholders 

  • Work collaboratively with external parties (Logistics Providers/Consultants/Software Providers etc.) to ensure the successful delivery of the project portfolio 

What we are looking for:

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Prince2) 
  • Proven understanding of Value Chain best practise
  • Sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Someone that is able to deliver change into the organisation through the application of exemplary project management
  • Experience in communications and ability to work with communications professionals to translate business priorities and updates into relevant content and messages 
  • Hospitality industry experience preferable 
  • Ideal opportunity for someone within the Procurement function wanting to develop/move into Project Management.
