Project Worker

Luv2meetU is a friendship and dating agency for adults with learning disabilities or autism operating predominantly in the North of England and covering 9 different Local Authority areas.

The project development worker role is central to the delivery and development of Luv2meetU.

You will work with Luv2meetU members, along with people Hft supports with learning disabilities and/or autism from across the Sheffield area, with varying needs to enable them to explore new opportunities within their local community, to develop and support existing and new friendships and relationships and to become more active. This involves arranging regular social activities and dating opportunities for people we support to interact and socialise.

Hours are flexible and will include evening and weekend work based on the needs of the project.

Salary: £17,303 pro rata

Job Type: Fixed Term Post: 1 year - with possibility of funding being extended beyond this.

Hours: Part Time, 18.5 hours per week

Location: Sheffield & Derbyshire - Hot desk at Hft’s offices in Sheffield as well as working from home and out in the community

Experience of working with vulnerable people including adults with learning disabilities or autism, together with an understanding of the needs, experiences and aspirations of people with learning disabilities would be advantageous.
