Public Affairs Officer / Campaigns Officer

Position: Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer
Location: Cardiff
Contract type: Full time, Fixed Term Contract until 24/08/2020
Hours: 35 per week
Salary: £28,283 actual per annum

About the role:

The Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer will develop and support the public affairs and campaigning activity in Wales. They will play a part in the development and delivery of the Society’s parliamentary engagement strategy, with the objective that dementia is on the political agenda for politicians, opinion leaders and decision makers and ensuring that the organisation maximizes its influencing opportunities.

About you:

You will have an excellent knowledge of the Welsh political system and Assembly structures as well as significant experience in a campaigns/policy/parliamentary related role. An understanding of the issues faced by people affected by dementia as well as the health and social care policy environment in Wales would be beneficial. You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and significant experience in devising and managing well-focussed campaigns and public affairs activity.
