About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a QUALITY MANAGER (6 MONTH FIXED TERM PART-TIME) to join our Highways team to work in WINCHESTER.
Role Purpose:
To provide expertise in the area of Quality specifically to ensure the systems in place are properly executed throughout the Smart Motorway Alliance.
Collaborate with Alliance partners to develop integrated management system across the SMA. Managing site based Quality Leads.
What you'll be doing
As a QUALITY MANAGER (6 MONTH FIXED TERM PART-TIME), y ou will have the following accountabilities:
Ensure that the process, training and measures are in place to ensure that the customer specification is delivered right first time Ensure Balfour Beatty compliance with the Alliance Business Management System (BMS) Ensure appropriate training Undertake assurance that the BMS is being followed and that requirements are being met Work with the Alliance Production Hub to support development of Quality strategy and plans and implementation of measurement framework throughout design, construction, commission & handover to performance in use Interact with external auditing governing bodies to maintain existing certification and continuous improvement Provide quality performance measures Produce quality reports for Project Director and Alliance Production Hub Support the delivery of the Smart Motorway Alliance quality programs and actions Work with the Smart Motorway Alliance to contextualise the Continuous Improvement process for the Alliance streams Support coach & develop quality skills in the Alliance Support establishment of continuous improvement culture Undertake specific investigations and/or report on quality reed issues as required Live the Balfour Beatty and Alliance Values Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm Support the delivery of Balfour Beattys Sustainability activities

You will have the following qualities and experience:
Has an ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts Pays attention to detail and sees things through to completion Can deliver reports orally and written in an objective and persuasive manner Has good interpersonal and communication skills and acts in an independent and professional manner with the ability to influence others including senior management Is a self-starter who manages their own time and seeks to add value to their function Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work Is able to work within a multi-discipline team Is good at building relationships and can influence effectively Can demonstrate initiative and resilience The following qualities/experience are desirable:
Knowledge of the construction industry or experience within a project based organisation Previous experience of managing a team will be an advantage
