Range Planner

About the role: 

The assortment, or range, of products on each customer’s shelves throughout the UK and Ireland is carefully designed and analysed by your Commercial Team, to ensure we can maximise every pocket of space available to us. Working closely with Product and Account Management teams, you’ll look after range plans, which enable our products to be on the right shelf, in the right store, at the right time so our customers can purchase the perfect sentiment for their loved ones. 

With an interest in FMCG, you are keen to develop your understanding of how a range is presented visually in differing store formats. From the analytics to the visual plan, you’ll get exposure to all elements of the range / assortment planning process, understanding the science behind the display. Taking ownership of our range plans your main responsibilities will include. 

About you: 

The perfect entry-level role into the inner workings of retail supply chain and trading, you’ll work closely with merchandising, trading and commercial professionals, learning from the best. You’ll be joining a fast paced team, so to be successful in this role we’re looking for you demonstrate your: 

- Pro-active and organised approach to managing your work and conflicting demands. 
- Excellent attention to detail. 
- Good level of Excel skills, comfortable with using sums and basic formulas. 
- A business related degree would be an advantage, but not essential. 
- A desire to develop a career within retail merchandising, trading or greeting cards, would be a significant advantage. 

You may have experience of the following: Range Planner, Category Manager, Visual Merchandiser, Category Management, Category Merchandiser, Senior Buyer, Procurement Management, Buyer, Product Manager, etc.
