Regional Operations Director - East Division - fixed term contract - up to 12 months

We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Director to join for up to 12-month on a maternity cover.  This will be leading the East Division and will be responsible for driving business performance across the Premier Inn Estate. Due to the nature of this role we can only consider applicants who are immediately available or on a maximum of 1 months notice.   

What we need from you:

The ideal candidate will already be leading the delivery of business performance through a team of at least 8 Regional Operations Managers and their own Management teams.  Your agility, adaptability and resilience will assist you in your decision making and judgement in driving the ongoing transition and development of this division.

You will, therefore, be responsible for prioritising the key business drivers that will make a real difference in delivering our Premier Inn Target Operating Model and financial targets within the Operational balance scorecard (WINcard). 

Undertaking a vital leadership role by utilising all the dynamics of our leadership framework, you will create an environment where team retention, engagement and enablement are the key drivers towards enhanced business results. 

You will have a continual focus on efficiencies by optimising your relationships across our Support Centre, based in Dunstable.  This will allow you to shape and influence the scope of future thinking and innovation across our business.

Building and sustaining relevant insight about our guests, will allow you to anticipate future needs and prioritise guest requirements.  Your opinion counts to strengthen and promote the end to end guest experience consistently and to maximise the offer available.

Additionally, you will be responsible for further portfolio work in line with the Premier Inn target operating model which could include leading operationally aligned projects and working as a key Operations stakeholder for wider scoping and delivery opportunities.

What you will bring:

You will already be in a senior leadership role whereby you are leading a significant, complex operational business or you could be accountable for a complex business/functional area; both of which you will have a proven track record of delivering strong results against your objectives. 

You will use your inspirational leadership style to support and develop a team of Regional Operations Managers utilising a combination of emotional awareness and a focus on key accountabilities.  Additionally, this role requires the ability and confidence, to work collaboratively within your peer group and the wider senior leadership team including key support centre skateholders.

With your experience in translating strategic initiatives into operational action plans and processes, you will have the proven ability to act as the guest voice in influencing both the business and leisure guest experience.

Experienced in establishing effective, efficient and flexible operational processes that support our vision to become the best budget hotel business, you will be confident in translating change into operational activity through a diverse and varied team. Underpinning this will be your skill to promote internal talent and continually retain skilled employees in an ever-changing, and uncertain, economic landscape.

Building and maintaining relationships across multiple senior stakeholders and functions is essential in order to keep the Support Centre connected to the field, and this role requires you to act as a conduit and role model for open and honest two-way communication and brilliant matrix management.
