About the role:
Our client is the leading charity for people with dementia in the UK and they have ambitious plans. They've committed to spend £150m on cutting edge research into dementia care, cure and prevention over the next decade and they need your help to reach this ambition.
The role is based in Research & Development and works across all fundraising teams to understand their information needs, identify new funding and engagement opportunities within their research portfolio and produce creative, compelling content to share with a wide range of donors. You will also work on the exciting UK Dementia Research Institute to develop strong relationships and new ways of working across the six centres and three founding funders. By bringing their research activity to life for fundraisers and donors, this role enables our client to deliver real, transformational impact for the hundreds of thousands of families affected by dementia today and in the future.
They're looking for a forward-thinking individual with an excellent grasp of biomedical science and the research process to transform the way they tell potential supporters about their research.
The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with an eye for detail and a flair for communicating science. Your collaborative, ‘even better if’ approach will enable you to build key relationships within the fundraising directorate and work at all levels of seniority. You might come from either a science or a fundraising background, but if you are excited to work across these two areas then come and join their passionate, motivated team.
