We are looking for a Research Laboratory Technician to provide technical support for teaching and research activities in the Environmental Plant Physiology group, led by Dr Johannes Kromdijk.
The role will involve providing support for research projects in the general area of photosynthetic light-dependent reactions, carbon assimilation, and high light stress. Specific tasks will include helping students and research staff design, develop and modify experimental protocols, providing technical advice with regards to experimental design and sample analysis, demonstrating and providing training in routine procedures in the group, being responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, and support for measurement campaigns in field-based research projects in the UK and abroad. Practical experience of plant physiological techniques in the area of photosynthesis and a working understanding of common plant molecular biology techniques are essential.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 4 years in the first instance at 0.5fte.
