Senior Actuarial Analyst - (Part-Time, Job-Share and Full-Time)
An excellent opportunity has arisen to be responsible for and oversee the Specialty portfolio within the Commercial Insurance Reserving team in London as an actuarial analyst. As the person in charge of this portfolio, you will be responsible for the output of the quarterly reserving exercise, and help to communicate the financial risk and its consequences – all of which are fundamentally important to our business. You will also be part of the wider Commercial reserving team, and work on segment wide tasks such as Solvency II submissions and group reporting.
Using your strong analytical skills and business acumen, you’ll work alongside some of the most talented qualified actuaries, as well as liaising with other areas of the business, including Finance and Underwriting.
This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Holds an actuarial qualification and, acting in an actuarial capacity, performs routine reserving, pricing or risk management tasks as assigned requiring minimal direct supervision, and performs more complex analyses under the supervision of more senior actuaries, all for the purpose of evaluating loss reserves, risk or pricing business. Assists in the training of less experienced personnel.
• Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial Sciences and 5 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area.
• FCAS or equivalent international certification
• Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial Sciences and 10 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area.
• ACAS or equivalent international certification
• Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management) and knowledge/skills reflective of a senior practitioner
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
