Senior Residential Care Worker

You will join us as a Senior Residential Care Worker responsible to the Home Manager as a member of the staff team for the direct day-to-day care of the children and young people and other supportive tasks and duties.

Senior Residential Care Worker Responsibilities:

• Provide primary basic care and a nurturing, therapeutic environment to help the child progress.
• Manage the home effectively in the absence of the home manager.
• Effectively lead shifts, direct and support the staff team.
• Supervise staff and manage individual and team performance to ensure a standard of excellent service delivery.
• Ensure the effective monitoring and control of all expenditure accounted for in accordance with financial procedures.
• Manage health and safety processes in the home including implementation and monitoring of risk assessments.
• Support the induction process of new staff.

Senior Residential Care Worker Requirements:

• Hold a QCF level 3 in Residential Care with Children and Young people’s workforce.
• Hold a full UK driving license
• Must be prepared to work 24-hour shifts (including sleepovers) on a rota basis
