Support Manager Responsibilities:
Our Day Support service in Sheffield provides care and support for a person with dementia diagnosed under the age of 65 during the day in a safe and comfortable environment. This service gives users an opportunity to meet and mix with others, stimulation through social contact and meaningful activities, and an opportunity to pursue personal hobbies and social activities.
In this key role you will manage the activities and workload of assigned Day Support Workers and act as deputy for the Day Support Manager. This will involve helping to ensure that all operational elements of the service run smoothly and efficiently, including, Health & Safety, managing and developing team members and volunteers, maintaining client records and care plans and ensuring that personal care for clients is provided with dignity and respect.
Support Manager Requirements:
In the absence of the Day Support Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality Day Support services and for the overall management of the staff working in the service.
This position calls for an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers. Previous care experience is essential, and you must be qualified to NVQ level 3 in health and social care. A team player and excellent people manager you should have basic MS Office skills, together with a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and experience of working with statutory and voluntary agencies. Just as important will be your personal attributes including empathy, creativity, the ability to communicate clearly and above all kindness.

Salary: £11,978.40 - £12,462 actual per annum (depending on skills and experience)
