Support Worker Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join us.
As a Dementia Support Worker, you will be providing information and support to people with dementia and their carers; helping them to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and put them in more control of their lives.
The service provided is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. In this role you will also be required to develop professional relationships with statutory and voluntary organisations across East Riding.
Support Worker Requirements:
An NVQ level 3, health and social care (or equivalent) is required as is an understanding of the needs of people with dementia and their carers. The ability to assess and evaluate client need is essential as are good organisational and time management skills. Experience of record keeping and report writing is required along with a good standard of IT skills
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and an understanding of delivering a service using a person-centred approach. They will have experience of face to face service delivery and a broad understanding of statutory and voluntary services. They will be committed to supporting people with dementia to live better lives.

Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £11,408 - £11,868.57 actual per annum (depending on skills and experience)
