Support Worker
Salary: £17,280 per annum

I am a man in my late 20’s who has recently moved into his own home in Crewe, Cheshire as this is where I’m originally from. I have a diagnosis of a Learning Disability, Autism and Epilepsy, as a result, I presents with a range of behaviours typical of those with sensory integration issues and autism. I’m looking for support workers to help me stay safe in my own home, I will have 3 support staff with me during the day and 2 staff with me at night.

I need you to be;

My predominant form of communication is not verbal. Staff will need to be trained in using PECs to support me to make choices and to support me with my daily routine.

I prefer a quieter and less busy environment.

At times I can present with behaviours perceived as challenging, I have developed these over time, as a way of communicating my needs.

I struggle to understand time, or how long an activity lasts. Staff supporting the use of sand timers can help me understand how long I should participate in a given activity.
