Support Worker

Gray Healthcare offer a bespoke training package for all our Support Workers and Team Leaders. From online training including a wide range of care certificate modules to person centred face to face training, we can offer you support and development in your role from day 1!

Salary: up to £23,930 per annum (Pro Rata)

I am a woman in my 30’s who has recently moved into her own property within the Lincoln area. I'm currently looking for female support workers to support me. I have one support worker with me during the day, and 1 during the night. I have a personality disorder and A-typical OCD and have also been diagnosed with Autism. I like to have a laugh and joke with people and have a good sense of humour. I love playing board games such as Cluedo, scrabble and Monopoly. I also enjoy playing on the Wii.

Support Worker Requirements:

I require you to have an understanding of personality disorder, A-typical OCD and Autism. I require you to have experience working with and understanding the Positive Behavioural Support Model and use proactive strategies to effectively support me in staying safe and making the most of my opportunities within the community. I respond very well to people who are understanding, helpful and patient with me but I don’t like rude, abrupt and serious people because it makes me not want to engage with them. Changes to my structured routine are distressing to me and can cause anxiety so I need staff to try and maintain as much structure and routine as possible. I love having conversations with my staff about history and other subjects that I am interested in as I like to visit historical buildings and castles!
