Salary: £18,720 per annum
I am a gentleman living in my own home and I am looking for Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life. I have one staff member during the day and one staff member awake throughout the night. I have been in residential care and hospital for a significant period of time throughout my childhood and adult life and also served time in prison. I am now ready to live in the community with a team of staff to support and empower me to learn new skills and live a meaningful life in my own home. I would like to work with either male or female, staff however, feel I get on better with females. I would like staff closer to my age 25-50 and who share some of my interests
I need you to be;
Have a good understanding of Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder and Autism. Have experience in working with Positive Behaviour Support Model and use proactive strategies effectively to help me stay safe and make the best of my opportunities. I need you to be patient and non-judgemental whilst providing me with consistent boundaries and motivating me to access and participate in activities within my community. I like time to get to know my staff members, this helps me to feel safe and build positive relationships. I like to do lots of different activities such as; baking, gardening, cooking, PC gaming, going on walks around the community, going to church to practice my religion and would like to join a railway club. I have family and friends who I am close to and would like to keep in regular contact with them.
