I am a gentleman who will be moving into my own home in the community and I am looking for Support Workers who can help me to reach my potential in life. I have two staff during the day and two staff throughout the night. I have been in residential care for a lot of my adult life and I am now ready to live in the community with a team of staff around me to help me to learn new skills and live a meaningful life in my own home.
Support Worker Requirements:
Experienced in working with clients who have learning disabilities and autism. I have difficulty in manging my emotions and this can lead to behaviour perceived to be challenging at times. It would also be helpful to have experience in sensory needs, self-harm and wound care. I enjoy activities outside of my home and it would be preferable to have staff that are able to drive, to allow me to be more socially included in the wider community. I am friendly and like to get to know my staff team. I have close contact with my family and enjoy spending time with them. I also like staff to share some of my interests. I enjoy, swimming, sports of all kinds, music, art, photography, singing, gardening and pets. If you think that you have the experience, I would like to hear from you.
