Support Worker – Day Shift

Alzheimer’s Society provides Day Support Services across the Hambleton and Richmondshire area at our Day Centres in Richmond and Northallerton. Our Day Support services support people with dementia from the surrounding areas and are part of a range of services provided by us.

Support Worker Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team providing a Day Support Service to people with dementia. You will be required to work across the area, providing cover at both Day Centres where required. As you would be required to travel for this role, your own transport is essential, and expenses will be paid in line with Alzheimer’s Society expenses policy.

Support Worker Requirements:

You will possess NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. An empathy and understanding of the needs of people with dementia are essential for this role. We are looking for an individual with experience within a care environment. You will be able to devise and lead meaningful activities in our Day Support Service for people with Dementia and should be confident in all aspects of personal care. You will need to be able to work well as a team and possess basic IT skills including word and Excel.

Job type: Casual Hours, Permanent,

Salary: £9.00 - £9.18 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
