Teacher (Year 1) - Part Time, Maternity Cover - Thelwall Community Infant School

Part time Year 1 class teacher required for a maternity cover to start as soon as possible.

The role

The Governors would like to appoint a dedicated teacher to join an excellent team of staff committed to
delivering a broad and balanced curriculum with exciting and creative learning opportunities.

This post is suitable for NQTs as well as experienced teachers. The successful candidate will be working in
our Year 1 class for two and a half days, with a job share partner who is already in post working 3 days a
week.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is a committed and caring classroom practitioner
  • has a sound understanding of the National Curriculum and its implementation
  • demonstrates excellent teaching using a wide range of teaching methods to motivate and inspire learners
  • has the ability to work effectively and contribute positively within a team environment
  • sets high expectations for the attitudes and behaviour of everyone
  • is able to work well in partnership with staff, governors and parents
  • is committed to their own professional development
