The School of English is seeking to appoint a part-time Teaching Associate in Literature for 7.25 hours per week.
The person appointed will undertake teaching within the School of English in literature of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. They will contribute mainly to our core first year module ‘Studying Literature’. They may also be asked to contribute to other teaching in literature (1500 to the present) as appropriate within the workload allocation of the role.
Mentoring towards further career progression will be offered throughout the period of the post.
Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area of literature. Evidence of the ability to teach at university level is essential. Experience of distance learning teaching and involvement in pastoral academic work is desirable.
This is a part time (7.25h per week), fixed term appointment from 1 March 2021 to 31 July 2021.
