Vehicle Service Technician / Mechanic

Thurlow Nunn operates from 12 Vauxhall dealerships in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire, making it one of the largest Vauxhall retailers in the UK.

Thurlow Nunn is part of the Thurlow Nunn Group of Companies which employs over 650 people and operates from 20 sites.

Position: Technician
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire (Commutable from Bedford, Northampton, Wellingborough and surrounding areas)
Job type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: An average of 41.67 hours per week, on a rota starting at either 8.00am or 9.00am, until 5.00pm or 6.00pm, and 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8.00am to 1.00pm
Salary: OTE up to £33k

About the role:

As a Technician you will be working in a fully equipped workshop with the latest technologies and access to regular manufacturer training to keep your knowledge and skills up to date.

You will diagnose and repair a range of vehicles in accordance with the manufacturer and retailer guidelines, in a timely and efficient manner and to the correct standard. You will identify potential defects and worn components and report responsibly for customer authorisation. Through your skill and expertise of “fix right, first time”, you will deliver the best possible experience for our customers.

About you:

You will have experience and knowledge of advanced maintenance and mechanical repairs with excellent fault-finding skills. You will be hard-working and reliable, with clear written and verbal communication skills. Ideally you will have:

- An NVQ level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in light vehicle maintenance and repair
- A full driving licence
