We have a vacancy in our Welfare Support Team to help us achieve our aim which is good, accessible, advice and support for residents in the borough.
The Welfare Support Service provides advice, support and represents residents across the Borough. We work with those who have debt or benefit issues, appeals and tribunals. We also deliver Local Welfare Provision on behalf of South Tyneside Council helping vulnerable residents across the Borough.
The person appointed to this part-time post will be the first point of call for the Welfare Support Service. As part of an assistant team, they will provide a customer focused front line service to residents, giving assistance with referrals, coordinating appointments for advice and providing general administrative and clerical support to the Service.
Our successful applicant will be experienced in administration, enthusiastic, professional and confident, able to use their initiative and passionate about delivering excellent customer service. They will be experienced working in a busy office environment and driven to provide support to the service.
This role offers the chance to be part of a service which helps customers who are most in need.
