Accounts Administrator

As the business continues to grow we are recruiting for an Accounts Administrator to work in our Gloucester or Wolverhampton office to provide Credit Control and Cash Management to the Q Underwriting Division. You will be working in a small team and in collaboration with our Central Finance Team in Retford.

This role would suit someone who is committed to working to deadlines, be highly accurate, proactive, organised and have sound excel skills. You will have attention to detail, experience in handling multiple customer accounts and reconciling different bank accounts along with experience in investigating problems, must deliver to a high level of service both internally and externally and ideally be able to start as soon as possible.

  • Process statements on a monthly basis
  • Telephone Brokers to ensure payments are received in line with terms of business
  • Updating and managing systems call logs
  • Manage diary to ensure follow up calls are done on respective dates
  • Escalate unpaid 60+ accounts to Finance Business Team
  • Prepare potential cancellation letters
  • Liaise with Central Finance Team in Retford
  • Answer queries from customers by liaising with other departments
  • Daily bank reconciliation for multiple bank accounts
  • Adhoc duties as and when required
  • Support for financial and other data requests from the business
  • Be an active participant in various projects within Finance Team
  • Credit Control via telephone/emails and managing calendar for follow up calls
  • You will need to be used to using different IT platforms
  • Dealing with high level of customer accounts to keep in line with terms of business
  • Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts
  • An excellent knowledge of Excel (must include V-Lookups)
  • Experience within the Insurance or Financial Services industry is required for this role
  • You must have excellent attention to detail, be a great communicator and highly organised.
  • Strong accuracy and numeracy skills are a must for this role.
  • Problem solving through investigation and collaboration with colleagues
