Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire with agile working
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: c. £25,000 per annum + uncapped commission
Contract Type: 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:

The NFU produces a portfolio of magazines targeting our Farmer and Grower members as well as a consumer audience. You will join the Media Sales Team who are responsible for all advertising sales revenue generated for our magazines and websites. Advertising is an important income stream to the NFU and a valuable service to businesses who wish to promote relevant products and services to NFU members.

You will work with an established sales base of existing advertisers and be responsible for achieving your personal sales target and contributing to the team target. You will also be required to source and grow revenues through prospecting new business opportunities.

What you’ll bring:

An advertising / publishing background is desirable. However, if you have a stable sales background or are keen to get into the world of advertising, selling print and online advertising solutions to businesses then this is the role for you.

The role would suit an innovative, proactive, forward-thinking individual, confident and experienced salesperson. You will have the enthusiasm and resilience needed to work in a competitive and dynamic market.

You will have experience of working under the pressures of targets and deadlines and understand the importance of building long term business relationships and providing an excellent standard of customer service.

Who we are

This role sits within the biggest department in the NFU. There are a plethora of roles that cover multiple disciplines Including sales, customer service, legal advice, administration and so much more.

With other half of the roles being on the front line, delivering the best experience possible, is our highest priority, whether that’s creating the right first Impression for visitors, making outbound calls, to seek members views, or helping to answer member queries from the c.50k calls we receive each year.

The remaining roles have a commercial focus to generate Income for the organisation. This Is achieved through selling membership, developing partnerships with discount providers that also supplement the membership offering, delivering paid for services to both members and non-members and selling advertising space in our publications an on our websites.
