We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Fundraiser to join our busy team at Charlton Farm. We are looking for an individual with the drive to develop income, build relationships, grow event support and initiate opportunities.
An exemplary public speaker, you will raise significant awareness of Children's Hospice South West by achieving demanding speaking engagement and other non-financial and financial targets. Leading volunteer management within the Bristol area, excellent organisational skills and proven success in a relevant role such as fundraising, or sales is essential.
Area Fundraiser Requirements:
- Experience of working in a fundraising/sales/marketing/events or media role.
- Proven track record of income generation working to targets and deadlines.
- Presentations and public speaking to a variety of audiences.
- Broad understanding of effective regional fundraising techniques.
- Knowledge of the charity sector.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent
- Member of the Institute of Fundraising
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. as Certificate in Fundraising)
About Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW):
An established and successful charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) provides hospice care for children with life limiting conditions and their families in the South West of England. This Care is delivered across three bases Charlton Farm, Wraxall, North Somerset, Little Bridge House, Barnstaple, North Devon and St Austell Cornwall. The CHSW ethos is support the whole family and our current delivery model includes care wherever the child is when they need it most including care at the hospice base, at home and virtual support.
Location: Currently flexible between our Hospice Site in Wraxall (near Bristol) and home based
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: up to 37 hours per week, will include some weekend and evening working as required
Salary: £27,109 to £31,828 per annum
