Assistant Store Manager (Philpotts)

Job Purpose:

To assist in driving the business forwards by developing a great team focused on delivering the best customer experience for both corporate and walk in customers, exceeding profit targets through creating a culture of continual improvement, spending wisely and building strong local relationships.

Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities:

• To assist in achieving sales targets for both corporate and walk in sales
• To assist in building strong local relationships with businesses to be the first thought destination for event catering
• To assist in benchmarking own store against local competitors and to share challenges and successes with the business
• To assist in maintaining and supporting a motivated and empowered team through a positive and open leadership style
• To continually develop own and team skills through training and other relevant activity
• To use relevant processes and policies to control the security of people, stock and cash
• To ensure compliance with relevant legislation and health and food safety
• To assist in achieving control of costs in line with agreed targets
• Adherence to cash and stock control policies, ensuring and assisting others to do the same

Assistant Store Manager Requirements:

• Previous management experience in a food service/catering environment (or similar)
• Level 2 food Hygiene or above
• An understanding of budgets & targets and the ability to assist in working to deliver and improve them.
• Full understanding of health and food safety and legislative responsibilities of a food environment
• Previous experience of team development and business development
• Ability to generate ideas for driving the business and its team forward
• Ability to lead and motivate teams
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships
• Previous cash handling experience
• Expert in a customer facing role
• Ability to use logical and creative thinking to solve problems and make decisions

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday working: 6 am - 4 pm, 40 hours a week
