Job Description

Contract: Full time Fixed Term Contract - Up to 2 years
Salary: c.£32,900 per annum, plus company car or car allowance
Location: Wellington, Somerset with agile working. Regular travel required.

Working Hours: Core Hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0900 – 1700. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a need for flexibility around working hours, to include some unsociable hours in the evening.

Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:
  • To work as part of the TB team contributing to the delivery of the NFU’s strategic aim of eradicating Bovine TB.
  • Provide advice, specialist administrative knowledge and support to NFU colleagues and members on a variety of TB wildlife control measures.
  • Support NFU membership service by providing an advisory function to members and other NFU colleagues on TB control and livestock movements affecting individual farm businesses.

What you’ll bring:
  • With a relevant degree and proven expertise and experience in your specialist area, you’ll ideally have an agricultural background and will be used to working with farmers or food producers.
  • You’ll be an articulate communicator and negotiator with a keen eye for detail and the ability to research, analyse and collate complex issues clearly.
  • With a can-do attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, you’ll be comfortable developing successful professional networks.
  • You’ll also be an inspirational and motivational leader and problem solver, with the ability to manage project teams and prioritise your work.
