Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team to drive sustainable growth and profitability for Morton Michel by identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, supporting the expansion of service delivery, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. This will be in relation to established and new childcare products.

This role is responsible for the achievement of New Business target largely through development of new and existing introducer relationships including associations, local authorities and franchises.


  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospect stage to sale.
  • Deliver new and maintain existing introducer and partner relationships.
  • Provide support across the wider Morton Michel team to ensure successful conversion of opportunity.
  • Be a key member of our Events team, delivering workshops, presentations, networking and engaging with attendees, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Work collaboratively with our Compliance and Agency teams to ensure all regulatory components of relationship management are achieved.,
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance lead generation and opportunity conversion.
  • Collaborate with the Morton Michel team to identify and address customer concerns.
  • Resolve incidents promptly and Implement improvements based on incident analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for individual and team development, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring you operate compliant with all regulatory requirements.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring compliance is embedded in your work.


  • Proven experience in a sales focused role.
  • Demonstrated success in lead acquisition and conversion.
  • Experience in managing client relationships with multiple stake holders.
  • Track record of implementing successful customer retention & conversion strategies.
  • Financial Services or Insurance industry experience (Desirable)
  • Experience of working with delegated cover holder authority (Desirable)
  • Experience in public speaking (Desirable)
  • Understanding of commercial insurance
  • Knowledge of performance reporting and KPI management.
  • Ability to use and manage multiple social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Childcare & Education sector (Desirable)
