The company has opportunities for a Coating Operator working in our Reflex Label site in Newcastle.

Description

As a coating operator you will clean and lubricate printing and coating machines and components, using oil, solvents, brushes, rags, and hoses. Measure screens and use measurements to centre and align screens in proper positions and sequences on machines, using gauges and hand tools.

Duties

  • Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production
  • Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance
  • Adjust set up and process operations accordingly
  • Follow coating formulas to weigh and prepare coating solutions for application
  • Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, colour accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects.
  • Ability to test coat weights, and functional properties after coating to ensure quality product.

Requirements

  • Previous Machine Operating experience.
  • Full training will be given to cover the Coating Process.
  • Work to strict deadlines as part of a team.
  • Ability to work using their own initiative.
  • Someone who has a flexible approach to working shifts.

Hours of Work: Continental shift pattern: 28 day rotation – 168 hours – 12 hour shifts – Days and Night cover
