Salary: c.£65,000 dependent on experience
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire with agile working
Working Hours: 35 hours per week

‘NFU Sugar’ is the name of the team and Board responsible for delivering NFU’s roles and responsibilities to sugar beet growers in the UK.

Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:

As Commercial and Market Insight Manager you will be NFU Sugar’s commercial lead, enhancing and sustaining the profitability of the UK’s sugar beet industry on behalf of all UK sugar beet growers. Key responsibilities include leading contract negotiations, managing ongoing commercial relationships, and delivering market and technical insights to underpin these efforts, ensuring all agreements are beneficial to growers and supported by the Sugar board.

What you’ll bring:

As our ideal candidate, you will have a degree in a numerate subject and substantial experience in commercial or financial roles. You excel in analysing and communicating market information, managing contracts, and influencing senior executives and board members. Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with external stakeholders are essential. You are comfortable working independently, managing your workload efficiently, and meeting tight deadlines. Desirable attributes include knowledge of the sugar sector, commercial negotiation experience, and familiarity with international trade policy and agriculture.
