Job Description

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers will be running a temporary ferry across the Thames at Hammersmith. The service will take pedestrians and cyclists over the Thames while Hammersmith Bridge undergoes vital repair and refurbishment works.

We are looking for people living in the Hammersmith area to join us as Customer Service Assistants, working on the pier at Hammersmith and ensuring our customers experience a best in class service.

You will welcome all members of the public at the pier; selling them the right ticket and assisting them with their journey and any questions they have.

You: We’re looking for people who love working and engaging with the public and making their experiences as memorable as possible!

You will be a great communicator, friendly and approachable and always wanting to deliver the best customer service possible.  

And, you won’t mind working outdoors or being on your feet all day and will thrive in a busy environment, maintaining empathy even when it gets really busy!

When: This role starts on 2 August in our main operation and you could be placed on any one of the piers between Woolwich to Putney. This is so that we can give you full training on our varied ticket types and our services so that you can ensure you are comfortable approaching customers and answering their questions. Once our pier at Hammersmith is open you will then be transferred there.

We will be interviewing in the first two weeks of July.

We have two different contracts on offer:

Full time - 42 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday: £22,136.00

Part time - 12 hours a week, Monday to Sunday £10.14 an hour
