Duty Manager Responsibilities:
To manage a team of the bar, front of house staff, and volunteers
To deliver the highest levels of customer care and consideration
To actively maintain front of house, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment is upheld
Ensure the venue is adequately staffed and serviced for events hosted
To monitor adequate levels of merchandise
To ensure staff appropriately clear litter from all Front of House areas of theatres
To ensure Front of House services operate effectively and to a high standard of customer care
Ensure the safety of Front of House staff and Theatre users, ensuring it remains clean and tidy
Recording and reconciling Front of House staff timesheets for inputting into the payroll system
Monitor staffing levels as per the rota, reporting absences as they occur and in line with policy
Managing Front of House staff and volunteers for each performance/event
To liaise with live show company personnel, ensuring the smooth running of shows
The recording of incidents to members of staff or the public
Dealing with bookings, general enquiries, and maintenance visits
To actively support Technical teams to ensure all performance spaces are presentable and safe
To liaise with Technical and Production staff to coordinate the smooth delivery of every performance.
To accommodate latecomers and always plan ahead to ensure there is sufficient seating available
To supervise and motivate Ushers, ensuring they are helpful and knowledgeable
To allocate pre and post show tasks to Ushers. This will include selling merchandise, handing out exit flyers and freesheets, assisting stage management and checking tickets during an incoming
To be fully Café Bar & kitchen trained, responsible for serving customers in an efficient manner
Keen interest in the arts and in particular Brixton House
Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
A proven efficient self-starter who is able to take responsibility and exercise initiative
Experience in motivating team members on shift
Strong IT skills
Commitment to high levels of customer service
Proven ability in cash handling
Previous experience of working in a theatre
Previous experience of using Spextrix
Experience of working in an arts venue.
Previous experience of using Spextrix
Experience in duty managing.
Hold a valid first aid qualification.

Salary: £28,000 per annum
Benefits: The Company operates an auto-enrolment pension scheme. The company will contribute up to 4% if matched by the employee. 22 days holiday per year, rising by one day per year up to a maximum of 25, in addition to public and bank holidays and TOIL.
