We have a great opportunity to join the UK Facilities team.  As the UK Facilities Manager, you would be responsible for ensuring corporate and regulatory compliance in the proper operation of all aspects of the Wilmslow and Solihull sites to create an optimal, safe, and cost-effective environment for the business and employees to function. Being a leader in both strategic planning, day-to-day operations and setting world class standards in relation to buildings and sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Annual facilities budget planning, spend and cost reduction for the Wilmslow and Solihull sites.
  • Competitive quotations process for contract maintenance & CEA works.
  • Facilities and buildings meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
  • Plan and implement the best allocation and utilisation of space and resources or re-organise current premises where required.
  • Prepare annual and five-year maintenance programmes to support corporate and strategic planning.
  • Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.
  • Prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors.
  • Project management, supervision and coordination of contractors and their work.
  • Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
  • Direct and plan essential central services such as security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, and landscaping.
  • Engineering planning and design of facilities.
  • Ensure effective communications and establish good working relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Engineering / Facilities Management related qualification to degree or HNC.
  • Possession of a recognised health and safety qualification by examination (minimum IOSH Managing Safely).
  • Demonstrable experience in Facilities & Maintenance management in a corporate environment. 
  • A sound knowledge of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning
  • Membership of the British Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management
  • Must be able to work independently and communicate with all levels of the organisation.
