Project Manager/Business Analyst (Payments FX Programme)
Location - Edinburgh
Daily rate - £440/day PAYE £564/day Umbrella
Start date - ASAP
Contract - 6 Months

Our financial services client is currently seeking a Hybrid Project Manager/Business Analyst to join their team as part of natural growth within the department. The Control Office is a function that sits within the markets business within the Global Banking and Markets area of the organisation. The Control Office helps manage and control non-financial and new risks in the business, including but not limited to operational, conduct and product lifecycle risk.
An overarching purpose is to protect the organisation, its People, Clients and Financial Markets by helping safeguarding the delivery of fair outcomes to our customers and avoiding disruption of the orderly and transparent operation of Financial Markets.
This role is part of Payments FX conduct programme reporting to Payments FX programme director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan & deliver consistency core capability across multiple regions
  • Create a specific project plan based on the model run book incorporating learning from the previous rollout
  • Post senior level engagement, connect with the stakeholders to identify key SMEs and prepare project stakeholder map
  • Walk through specific plan with stakeholders.
  • Hold regular working group/scrums/steerco forums as required to proactively drive the deliverables, risk/issues/actions to closure
  • In partnership with the local SMEs/stakeholders, leveraging the globally established template, complete gap analysis including payments product & channels flow edge cases scenario and ensure its signed off by appropriate senior stakeholders
  • Identify gaps and ensure gaps/requirements are clearly documented/signed off from the discovery/gap analysis sessions are fed through delivery chain for IT teams partnering with relevant IT PM
  • Perform AS IS & TO BE process analysis
  • Ensure all governance approvals across lines of businesses including any regulatory compliance or DTCS/DSAS approvals are in place in a timely manner for the rollout
  • Ensure any local regulatory approvals are in place
  • Proactively drive risks and issue to closure with relevant teams
  • Conduct a post project review session and feed the findings for subsequent rollouts
  • Attend global working group and provide update on behalf of the project readiness
  • Ensure all artefacts for the rollout are stored in a central place and readily available for audit purposes
  • Provide inputs for the regional conduct committee updates
  • Attend team meetings for global programme director and share/learn from other PFX country PMs in other regions

Key Requirements:

  • Sound track record of performing Project Management and Business analysis roles and responsibilities through project lifecycles in an financial services organisation
  • Experience of working in FX and Payments environments
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management at all levels of organisation
  • Ability to identify issues and find solutions
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise
  • Organised and structured approach
  • Ability to challenge and question in a constructive way
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially using PowerPoint and Excel
