 As Informatics Sales Specialist, you are an ambassador of Waters and will bring to the market Waters’ informatics products and services. You will demonstrate a clear grasp of understanding the customers’ business and its growth plans, as well as be able to take the knowledge and convert it into a solution and offering from Waters, with a primary aim of bringing “customer success”. This position brings you a great degree of flexibility working in the field.


  • Achieve sales goals and quotas for the territory
  • Position and demonstrate at high level – Waters CDS, Nugenesis and Waters_Connect to prospective customers
  • Manage accounts in collaboration with System Account Managers and expand business with the UK
  • Develop and execute selling plans and projects in order to expand accounts and capture new business
  • Interface with Waters field organization on strategic planning and service delivery
  • Present to customers and prospective customers the standard features and functions of Waters Informatics products
  • Discuss product concept to prospective customers, clearly, concisely and articulately
  • Organise events/webinars to keep customers abreast of new developments
  • Ensure CRM compliance (Compass) on opportunities being worked upon

What we are looking for from you:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors Degree Required. Ideally  in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, computer science etc


    • Experience in chromatography and field sales experience is required.
    • Demonstrated experience with enterprise class software – Waters CDS, Lab Management System products - to prospective customers.
    • Previous use of Waters Informatics, or competitive systems would be advantageous


    • Highly passionate individual with charisma, perseverance and determination, plus the ability to work effectively in competitive sales situations;
    • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate complex technical issues;
    • Good priority setting and organisational skills;
    • Knowledge of computers and the use of standard Windows based packages (knowledge of a Waters chromatography or mass spectrometry data system “EMPOWER” would also be desirable);


    • A clean driving license and a valid passport will be required;
    • This is a territory-based position with travelling within your designated territory, and occasional travels to other countries for activities such as governance of department, local business support, meetings and training.
