We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer in Leeds who supply to the oil and gas industry. This is a temporary, ongoing role for a minimum of 3 months but has the potential to be extended after that time. Due to the increase in workload the business now requires a Mechanical Fitter who has a team orientated approach to join the busy department.
As a Mechanical Fitter your role will involve dismantling and assembling a variety of equipment, from building rotors and pumps up to skid assembly. You will be using impact tooling and bolting etc. and candidates who can use a balancing machine will be of particular interest. You must be able to read ISO drawings and complete the associated paperwork. Good all-round mechanical assembly skills will be required.

The option of being paid via an Umbrella company is available if required. The role will be working days and there is overtime available paid at a premium rate. Ideally, you'll be apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds or equivalent as a Mechanical Fitter with proof of qualifications and will have previously worked in a similar position.
