Job Description

The Manager of People Shared Services has a big role to play in overseeing a simple and straightforward ease of entry to the People function. Enhancing the colleague experience through policies, support materials and process simplification/automation initiatives is the mainstay of the role – make it easy for colleagues and managers to access HR services and promotes self-service.

People Shared Services Manager Responsibilities:

  • Owning our main knowledge hub, focused on driving colleague and manager self-service. This repository of helpful HR advice and guidance will be a one-stop-shop and will build self-sufficiency driving a tangible reduction in Service NOW cases.
  • Maintaining a suite of policies aligned to our brand and values and with sufficient flexibility to support their pragmatic implementation by our colleagues and people managers.
  • Analysing in depth our most frustrating processes and transforming their effectiveness, ensuring the colleague is always front of mind.
  • Leveraging the capabilities within Microsoft products to support better ways of working, such as Planner, Power BI, Power Automate, and tangibly drive improvements in process which demonstrate the value added.
  • Ensuring our repeatable processes are fully documented and maintained to ensure effective transition of work as and when necessary.
  • Supporting the development of our suite of HR data insights and analysis. Additionally, interrogating data and assessing trends in order to advise senior leadership as appropriate.
  • Being the liaison point between People Shared Services and Group Risk & Compliance to ensure our risk responsibilities are managed appropriately.
  • Taking the lead on GDPR and data retention, ensuring it’s constantly front of mind for all processes, procedures and systems.
  • Support escalations through Service Now, plus analysis of case trends to identify opportunity areas for improvement.
  • Being the lead on audit activity, marshalling actions across the team and ensuring a thorough and planful approach, always.

People Shared Services Manager Requirements:

Whilst the role will be assigned to one of our main office locations, travel to other offices may be required from time to time.

This is a hybrid role, and as such attendance in our offices is required to support collaboration with other colleagues and teams but retains the flexibility to work remotely.
