Location - London, Canary Wharf/Remote

Rate - Up to £467 PAYE or Umbrella £599

Start date - ASAP

Contract - 6 months

Our financial services client is currently seeking a to Performance and Reward Consultant join their team in the London office/remote working, this contract will initially be for 6 months.

Role Purpose

  • To ensure the Group's approach to Performance Management (PM) and Reward remains effective and delivers on our P&R strategy, principles, and commitments
  • The incumbent will do this by supporting the Global Service Owner (GSO) for PM and Reward, working with internal and external stakeholders to continuously test and refine our approaches
  • It may also include activities belonging to the broader Group PM and Reward team, such as assurance testing, risk management and the review of impact assessments arising from changes outside of P&R
  • A critical part of the role is ensuring that a broad variety of sources and data are used to inform decision making and the evolution of our philosophy

Key Accountabilities

  • Continue the design and implementation of our programmes intending to support performance outcomes, influence behaviours and map out our future test-and-learns, and policy / process enhancements
  • Provide P&R advice and support in the delivery of the Group's P&R strategy, principles, and commitments (and, through that, the broader Group purpose, and values)
  • Assess the effectiveness of policies and processes, and pro-actively recommend new and innovative approaches and solutions
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships with peers in the Group PM and Reward team, as well as colleagues across P&R, HR IT, and other Specialist areas, such as Talent and ER
  • Put our colleagues at the heart of what we do, using a range of employee listening techniques (e.g., focus groups, surveys, and Employee Resource Groups) to ensure P&R supports the broader people agenda, opening a world of opportunity for our colleagues
  • Provide expert guidance on requests for information on P&R policies, processes, and procedures. This may include responses to audit findings or input into broader business initiatives which overlap with P&R areas of responsibility
  • Maintain specialist knowledge by keeping abreast of published materials, competitor practice, external market developments and trends and legislative and regulatory developments

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage a diverse stakeholder group, including senior populations
  • Strong knowledge of PM and reward practices in global multi-national organisations and financial services firms
  • Strong business acumen with an ability to link business strategy to people practices; ability to apply critical analysis and judgment when reviewing activities
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills; ability to interpret trends
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and influence counterparts in global, regional, and country teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills and strong customer orientation
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of performance and reward initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to contribute to the broader team and work as an effective team member
