Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a focused and talented individual to join as a Planning & Reporting Analyst.  Reporting to the Accounting & Decision Support Manager you will support Nespresso UK & Ireland businesses with insightful information to support business decision making, co-ordinate and support period end close and prepare monthly dynamic forecasts with a mindset for continuous improvement, standardisation and sharing of best practices.

A day in the life of...

A real focus for this role will be to deliver meaningful insight that truly helps drive great commercial decision making. You will also:
•    Co-ordinate the period-end close (PEC) timetable and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all monthly submissions.
•    Liaise with various finance teams to ensure that relevant PEC milestones are met 
•    Support the Finance Controlling Team, throughout the month and during PEC, in understanding business performance through insightful management reporting and information.
•    Prepare and communicate the monthly management performance reporting to all relevant stakeholders.
•    Organise PEC debriefs and integrate learnings into future plans.
•    Support P&R Colleague and Finance Team with the successful delivery of the dynamic forecast
•    Pro-actively support with the planning preparations for the monthly business planning cycle 
•    Play a key role in highlighting any issues as and when needed ensuring the business understands the potential implications and takes the appropriate steps to resolve these issues. 
•    Build great links with the Business Analytics team to develop reporting solutions that allow standardisation of reporting.
•    Play a key role in driving standardisation in everything we do, working closely with different areas living by a mind-set of value up and waste out through continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
•    Participate in cross functional improvement projects supporting the functions ambition to really strive for excellence in everything we do.
•    Champion the importance for our people outside of the finance function to really understand the ‘financials’ of our business, by acting as a coach to develop their finance capability. 

What will make you successful

•    Breath of experience working within Finance in a top-tier FMCG, retail or e-commerce organisation or equivalent.
•    Completed or in the process of completing a relevant accounting qualification
•    Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas) essential
•    Proficiency in Power BI and SAP HANA essential
•    Ability to understand how decisions impact the wider business strategy and provide value added insights
•    Great communication skills that enable influencing across all levels whilst being able to develop positive cross business relationships.
•    Flexibility when prioritising work in an environment that is very often ambiguous
•    Continuous improvement mindset
•    Excellent eye for detail
