Howard House is a part of Young Foundations who is are a provider of specialist residential support services for children and young adults who have a range of identified complex and individualised needs.
Howard House became a part of Young Foundation family in September 2020. It’s a residential children’s home set in a beautiful rural location in Bedlington, Northumberland, with excellent links to Newcastle upon Tyne and neighbouring Blyth and Cramlington.
Howard House offers stability and safety for children and young people who have experienced childhood trauma, neglect, lack of parenting and rejection.
We employ people from different backgrounds, who provide care, nurturing, love and act as positive role models to provide a happy childhood, teach them independence skills, help them to transition to adulthood in a safe and supportive way, so the best outcomes can be achieved.
Residential Support Worker Requirements:
Ideally the suitable candidate will possess Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care or the equivalent, have experience of key working and engaging in professional meetings with social workers, psychologists, teachers, and other relevant professionals. You should have good knowledge of the Children’s Home Regulation 2015, understand the rights of children and young people in care and generally have an interest in improving children’s outcomes and delivering the highest quality of care for children and young people.
We are looking for Full Time (40 hours per week), Permanent Children's Residential Support Workers. Candidates who hold a full UK driving licence are preferred.
