Job Description

Being a Sales Planning Executive at Nestlé is about being passionate about sales, being proactive, efficient, highly analytical and providing pivotal support to the Nestlé Sales Team. Does this sound like you? Then read on….

Are you looking for a sales career with a company, which has some of the world’s leading brands, plus the opportunities that come with working for a global food business? We have a great opportunity based in our Gatwick offices, to work with our sales team as a Sales Planning Executive to cover a maternity leave.

A little bit about us
It is pretty hard to beat a sales career here at Nestlé: the thrill of promoting the world’s favorite products, the challenge of forging long-term partnerships with major customers, coupled with the satisfaction of tailoring our plans to meet the constantly evolving needs of our customer base across a vast array of commercial situations.

A day in the life of a Sales Planning Executive

As a Sales Planning Executive, working in a fast-paced environment, you will be working closely with the Customer Business Manager to ensure the company’s profit and volume objectives are successfully met. This really is an exciting and challenging opportunity, which will see you work hard developing key skills that could stand you in a great position to embark on a progressive and successful sales career here at Nestlé.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Providing a best in class administrative support to ensure effective execution of our channel and customer promotional plans.
  • Proactively creating and running internal and external reports.
  • Maintaining accurate customer pricing to ensure we achieve invoice accuracy first time, every time.
  • Playing an active role in developing customer plans and attending customer meetings when needed.
  • Working closely with the Customer Business Managers to ensure all customer queries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner

What will make you successful

To be successful in this role you will ideally already have some fantastic administration experience under your belt. Experience within a commercial environment would be preferable, but not essential.

You will be passionate; results focused, have a right first time mindset and enjoy working in a fast paced and exciting environment.

Acting as an ambassador for our business you will have great Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) whilst being able to demonstrate your already established analytical skills.

You will need to be highly organised, conscientious and a team player who is able to navigate through situations that can sometimes be ambiguous and pressured. You’ll also:

  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Be able to prioritise conflicting work demands across everything you do – managing multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines
  • Be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial and financial situations
  • Be comfortable when working collaboratively and cross functionally
  • Have good interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Not afraid to challenge where and when needed
  • Be confident with systems and processes
  • In return we will offer you all the support and training you need to be successful in this role.

What you need to know

What can we offer in return? Great benefits you’d expect from a business the size of Nestlé – in the shape of a competitive salary and benefits package, bonus scheme, flexible working scheme, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus flex leave, pension scheme and a real focus on personal development and growth.

The closing date for this role is the 30th July 2021.

We will be considering candidates as they apply and we will occasionally close job advertisements early in the event we receive sufficient applicants, so please don’t delay in submitting your application.

We are committed to equal opportunity for all and we may collect relevant data for monitoring purposes during our candidate registration process.  Be yourself, everyone else is taken!

Right to work in the UK
In accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment.  We have assessed this role and do not consider that we would be able to sponsor a successful candidate under the Skilled Worker route as the role does not meet the relevant Home Office criteria; the successful candidate therefore must be able to demonstrate their own right to work during the recruitment process without Nestlé sponsorship.
