Core Purpose of the Role:
Senior Oracle DBA working on financial services projects
Management of 3rd party vendor resources
Initiation, design & study responsibility
Driving efficiency & cost savings through automation & other service improvements.
*Accountable for driving delivery of complex Oracle environments and projects in accordance with Group standards and policies, and to agreed service levels
*Carry out technical activities in support of project delivery and ongoing support of the platform
*Identify and implement improvements to technical processes and toolsets to improve resource and cost efficiency
*Identify and remediate risks associated with the environment
*Establish and maintain excellent relationships with senior stakeholders.
*Study & analysis work into the design of complex projects.
Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
*Diagnostic skills and an ability to analyse technical information from multiple sources, allowing the provision of highly effective solutions in complex environments

*Experience in delivering complex projects
*Ability to identify and drive technology and process improvements
*Experience of operating in a Service Delivery environment with good understanding of frameworks and processes
*Practical experience of RAC and Dataguard
*Excellent knowledge of Oracle 10g, 11g & 12c RDBMS technologies
*Must have experience of working in a UNIX environment
*Good experience of PL/SQL development
*Experience of delivery in a tightly controlled & change managed environment
*Must have strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
*Proven ability to work with high profile key platforms to tight timescales.
*Highly motivated and good 'self starter' capabilities, interpersonal skills and proven ability to manage colleagues and influence them to make the right decisions.
*Proven experience of commercial awareness and working with 3rd Parties.
