Job Description

Everyone and their dog claims to be a social media expert. Most of them talk the talk but can’t walk the walk.

But if you’re one of the few exceptions with a proven track record of delivering extraordinary results and creating compelling campaigns that deliver on all levels, we have the perfect job for you.

We don’t just want someone to schedule posts and wait for the results to roll in, we want you to dig deep into social algorithms and have an understanding of hacks that can produce the goods.

And if you love a good conversation (or even a friendly debate), you’ll feel right at home here. We don’t just want someone who knows their hashtags from their check-ins; we’re looking for a proactive person who’s well-versed in the art of actively engaging with communities to drive results.

You’ll also be someone who loves to listen. Monitoring conversations and latest industry news, curating topics to share with our loyal audience. We’re looking for someone who’s on the ball with emerging social channels and technologies, forever refining their craft.

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING FOR...

We’re one of the fastest growing financial services groups in the UK, with a passion for standing out from the crowd and doing things differently and an award-winning marketing team.

We know that you can do great work without the suits. We believe in making a difference, teamwork and putting the customer first in everything that we do. It’s an approach that’s allowed us to keep delivering award winning products and services for almost 25 years.

With perks, progression, learning and wellbeing initiatives all built in to our business, we care about making sure you’re as happy in work, as you are out of it.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

No two days are the same – because of our diverse range of businesses, you could be interviewing a rugby league legend one day, to spotlighting some of the country’s most iconic nightlife venues the next. We like to make an impact so whether that’s showcasing our world-renowned clients, or spearheading disruptive campaigns, our goal is to put our customers first, and make a positive difference.

In this role, you’ll be supporting overall marketing strategy and making it work for social media, working alongside content, creative and strategic colleagues, to develop engaging business as usual content, alongside powerful campaigns to bring our brands to life through social.

On a typical day, you might be:

• Developing and executing the social strategy for the next quarter, based on the needs of our community and the priorities of our businesses
• Writing and scheduling core social posts - optimising them for maximum engagement
• Working with our creatives to develop enticing imagery to accompany our campaigns
• Engaging with our audiences across different platforms.
• Working closely with the wider teams to ensure the content we’re putting out reflects our messaging as a business
• Researching the latest trends and techniques to improve our social and community performance
• Showcasing the people behind our business – we’re people selling to people, not cold corporate robots.
• Pioneering campaign ideas and fighting to get them done
• Thinking differently, challenging the norm and putting a unique spin on what we say, making us stand out from the crowd.
• Reporting figures and successes to the Head of Brand & Marketing

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for a true social advocate. We’re not just looking for someone who knows their way around social platforms, you need to know how to manipulate them to ensure that our content is delivered to the right audience, at the right time. But most importantly – make it your own. This role comes with the freedom to be creative. Spot something we should do better? You can change it!

We’re not looking for a ‘throw-it-all-out-there’ person - you’ll understand the differences in audiences across platforms and alter your strategy based on these findings.

SOUND LIKE YOU?

If this sounds like your dream job, we want to hear from you! Show us the work you’re most proud of, what you love about social media, and why you think you can make a difference.
