This is a vital role at GOSH Charity, as we build our new marketing and communications strategy with digital being a key enabler. You will need a creative eye and an ability to see the bigger picture, to spot trends and embed insight into campaign strategy. A hands-on approach is essential, and we are looking for someone who is just as excited about the technical delivery of the role as the strategic elements.About the team
The Social Media Manager sits within the Digital Engagement team which is made up of Social Media, Digital Marketing, Digital Content and the Charity Website. The Digital Engagement team is part of the wider Marketing and Communications directorate. You will have responsibility for line managing the Social Media Executive, whilst working closely with the Senior Social Media Executive and the Hospital Digital team.About the role
This is a high-profile role with responsibility for the charity social media channels. You will manage planning, executing, and evaluating our organic social strategies, leading to:
- Audience-led, social-first content that amplifies the voice of patients, families, and staff, motivates existing supporters and raises brand awareness
- One-on-one, and one-to-many, relationships with our audience, through social community engagement and online supporter care
- Increased skills and understanding of social best practice enabling fundraisers to control their own projects and social media performance, with expert guidance and support from the social media team
- An empowered, expert social team overseeing quality control and strategic direction of our channel mix
The ideal candidate:
You must be external-looking, with an eye for digital trends and social media innovation, with an appetite to trial new ideas and techniques on our channels. The Social Media Manager must inspire others within the Digital Engagement team, and across the charity, to use social media effectively and innovatively to raise money and increase brand awareness.About the charity
