Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser specialising in the ranging of product on multiple digital platforms. Due to an increase in demand on digital platforms this varied role requires a strong communicator working cross functionally with Sales, IT, Marketing and Digital Marketing, internal Ecommerce, and Inventory – UK and Sourced. There is also a requirement to work with the External customer to achieve sales goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Online customer working practice
  • Highly analytical – reviewing sales pattern and reporting to the business
  • Understanding of product maintenance on external customer platforms to implement change/Improvement
  • Forecasting – supported by customer supplied information working with the internal stock teams.
Detailed Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed analysis of sales for ranges in the market place, reviewing the market and ensuring sales opportunities are maximised.
  • Range Review- track and monitor range on digital platforms to ensure clear reporting to the directors of the business on weekly dashboards, as well as taking action to support growth on platforms, with customer and own Ecommerce balanced to give best business practice.
  • Work with the in house Inventory team to ensure forecasts and promotional activity are supported in good time to maximise sales out.
  • Review development opportunities to maximise AOV – with projects such as sku bundling – support to departments suggest as Sales
  • Promotional activity – involving a calendar of events, ensuring plan is in place to maintain stocks, advising the Inventory team functions for UK production and Sourced.
  • Supporting Sales to achieve sales goals
  • A cross functional role that requires excellent communication skills within the organisation and outwardly to B2B to ensure Portmeirion Strategy is achieved.
About you:
  • Excel Experience is essential
  • Some experience with the retail arena would be advantageous
