About the Job:

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Part Time and flexible work considered.
  • Location: Hybrid worker - home, school, or our Cheadle office based as necessary.
  • Salary: £60,068 starting salary (Grade 7, Point 19 rising to Point 21 with biennial increments)

 

Qualifications needed:

  • Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • Training or specialism in Autism, Complex Needs, Attachment, and Complex Learning Needs.

Experience and Skills:

  • Significant post-qualification experience supporting Children and Young People (CYP) in Education settings, including specialist settings.
  • Significant experience working with CYP with complex needs, including learning needs, Autism, and social/emotional needs.
  • Experience working with staff teams.
  • Significant experience in undertaking consultation, psychological assessments, formulating plans, and collaborating on person-centered support plans.
  • Experience in delivering training to support CYP.
  • Some experience working with Universities and supporting doctoral placements.
  • Experience in developing new service delivery models and contributing to service tenders.
  • Experience in conducting audits and improving clinical practice.
  • Some experience facilitating an MDT meeting and approach.
  • Significant experience in providing clinical supervision and reflective practice.

Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Knowledge of current educational systems, especially those for CYP with special educational needs.
  • Understanding of learning needs and associated conditions.
  • Knowledge of neurodevelopmental needs.

Other Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to relate well to professionals, parents, and carers.
  • Effective time management skills.
