Job Description

Location: Plowden & Smith, Mitcham CR4 4NY  

Contract type: Part-time position 3 days on-site  

Salary: Dependent on experience

Founded in London in 1966, Plowden & Smith is the UK's largest fine, decorative and contemporary art and object conservation company. 

Plowden & Smith is looking to recruit a part-time Social Media Assistant. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the art world in a similar role.  

Initial interviews will take place over Zoom, followed by a face-to-face meeting in which we will ask the candidates to prepare a short, written task. The second interview for short-listed candidates will follow in person at our studios.  

Responsibilities 

  • Assisting with Advertising (Google Ads, print ads, social media ads) 

  • Content Creation for social media content across all channels 

  • Website content management and SEO 

  • Preparing e-newsletter campaigns and marketing materials  

  • Create press/article-related content 

  • Use analytics tools to gauge the success of campaigns. 

  • Development of dynamic written, graphic, and video content. 

 

Skills & Requirements 

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms 

  • Analytical skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Attention to detail 

  • A highly organised and goal-driven individual with a passion for art and content creation
